Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping floors, making beds, and replenishing amenities to ensure a pristine environment.
- Handle various cleaning tasks using appropriate equipment such as vacuums, floor scrubbers, and cleaning tools to maintain cleanliness standards.
- Safely manage chemical agents and cleaning supplies in accordance with safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel protocols to ensure safe handling and effective sanitation.
- Conduct floor care activities including stripping, waxing, buffing, and deep cleaning of carpets and hard floors to uphold hygiene and appearance standards.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to moving furniture or supplies while following manual handling safety procedures.
- Follow hotel emergency procedures and safety guidelines to ensure guest and staff safety at all times.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to guest requests and ensuring their comfort throughout their stay.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles with knowledge of janitorial practices and industrial cleaning techniques.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment, chemical handling, sanitation procedures, and floor care methods.
- Strong understanding of hotel housekeeping management processes and hospitality standards.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely while adhering to safety protocols.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude towards guests and team members.
- Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and safety data sheets (SDS) related to cleaning chemicals.
- Previous experience with hotel housekeeping management or supervisory roles is a plus but not required.
