Summary
This position is responsible for performing all horse care and farm work as needed. Assist with Easterseals Ranch equine-assisted therapy. Equine Barn staff will ensure and maintain safety standards set forth by PATH International. Work week - 15 hours

Qualifications
- Education: High School diploma required
- Experience: Some horse or farm experience preferred
- Experience with the day-to-day operations of working in a 20 to 30-horse barn.
- Ability to handle horses, including leading and lunging horses safely/competently.
- Above average knowledge of equine behavior.
- Good communication skills.
- Reliable and punctual
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must be able to work unsupervised
- Excellent verbal skills and equine handling
- Must be willing to work Sundays and Saturdays.
- Must be willing to work holidays.
- Bring in and turn out multiple horses.
- Feed and water horses
- Clean 2-6 stalls daily
- Keep barn clean and well-stocked
- Perform daily treatments on horses as directed by your supervisor
- Assist supervising barn volunteers
- Assist as needed with programs and special events
- Work horses in hand as assigned by the supervisor.
- Report equine injuries, changes in behavior, or feed consumption to the supervisor.
- Assist with programs as assigned: tacking, grooming.
- Comply with Easter Seals policies and procedures, utilizing the highest standards of personal and professional ethics and behavior.
- Demonstrate good judgment, diplomacy, and courtesy. and effective communication while working at Easter Seals or when representing the organization
- Other duties as assigned
- Inventory (feed, hay, supplies, equipment, meds.)
- Attend staff meetings and trainings
- Report all barn and equine matters
