Role Description The Human Resources Director is a full-time, on-site role based in Fort Lauderdale, FL, responsible for leading and overseeing all HR functions at Easterseals South Florida. This role manages the design, implementation, and administration of HR policies and procedures, ensuring they are aligned with organizational goals and compliant with applicable laws and regulations. Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing recruitment and onboarding, supporting managers with performance management, and guiding leaders on workforce planning. The Human Resources Director will lead employee relations initiatives, including conflict resolution, investigations, coaching, and engagement strategies that foster a respectful and inclusive workplace. The role will also oversee benefits and compensation administration, maintain HR records and systems, coordinate training and development programs, and serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on organizational culture, retention, and change management.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Human Resources (HR) operations, including strategic HR planning, HR administration, and HR best practices.
- Experience developing, implementing, and updating HR policies and procedures that support organizational objectives and regulatory compliance.
- Demonstrated expertise in Employee Relations, including conflict resolution, coaching, investigations, and promoting an inclusive, respectful workplace.
- Proficiency in Performance Management, including goal setting, feedback processes, evaluations, and performance improvement plans.
- Solid knowledge of Labor and Employment Law, including federal, state, and local regulations, with the ability to apply them in day-to-day decision-making.
- Proven leadership experience managing HR teams and partnering with executives and managers in a multi-program or nonprofit environment, ideally in human services or healthcare.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to build trust across diverse staff and stakeholder groups.
- Experience with HRIS systems, data reporting, and using HR metrics to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
