Assist and provide support in all aspects of the job search and obtaining competitive community employment. May occasionally provide job coaching support and job retention services to individuals placed in employment as needed.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide job development activities with individuals with disabilities referred to the Community Employment Supports department. Such activities may include: contacting employers/ companies to seek job openings, schedule and establish appointments and represent program through presentations to employers. Establish, create and secure jobs for program participants by following up with employers, setting up and assisting during interviews, and remain in contact with company representatives.

Job Responsibilities:
Provide job development activities with individuals with disabilities referred to the Community Employment Supports department. Such activities may include: contacting employers/ companies to seek job openings, schedule and establish appointments and represent program through presentations to employers. Establish, create and secure jobs for program participants by following up with employers, setting up and assisting during interviews, and remain in contact with company representatives.
- Develop job placement plan with each participant and referring source. Complete job readiness assessment form and mock interviews when beginning job development activities.
- Once an individual is placed create Job Coaching program plan identifying how much and what kind of job coaching support will be needed.
- Educate and teach program participates job seeking readiness skills including how to fill out job applications, write resumes, conduct a job search, and how to interview.
- Transport and accompany participants to potential employment sites and assists with communicating with hiring managers, scheduling interviews, and provides support through the interview process as needed.
- Encourage program participants to increase independent work skills by teaching job tasks, interpersonal skills, stress management, communication skills, and other job related activities.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with employer partners, referring agencies, and other community organizations.
- Identify, develop, and maintain professional relationship with potential new employer partners.
- Keep accurate records by completing and maintaining required documentation including case notes, monthly summaries and reports, intake forms, activity logs, mileage reports and discharge summaries.
- Maintain placement information in case management system.
- Maintain knowledge and skills by attending meetings, seminars, trainings, and workshops.
- Maintain confidentiality of individual case records and other sensitive subject matter.
- Minimum of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university and one year of experience in the field of developmental disabilities;
- Or Relevant experience on a year-for-year basis, or credentialing that substitutes for the educational requirement;
