Job Description
Work closely with the Easterseals Team of Family Engagement Specialists and DCF Team of Family Services workers to apply your Family Engagement skills while gaining experience and contributing to our agency’s mission under the guidance of the office’s leadership team. Assist the Program Coordinators and Supervisor with administrative duties and shadow, observe, and support the direct services workers.
Qualifications

Assist the Program Coordinators and Supervisor with administrative duties and shadow, observe, and support the direct services workers.
Qualifications
- Student must be enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s Level degree program in Psychology, Anthropology, Early Childhood Education or other related field
- Students must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Computer efficiency and organizational skills
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Ability to work on a multi-level team as well as independently
- Required: Student must have approval from the Easterseals HR department prior to starting
- Communicate openly with Supervisor.
- Attend staff meetings as requested by supervisor.
- Shadow and support Family Engagement Specialists who are providing support to children and their families during court ordered family times, during weekly home visits, and family centered meetings.
- Engage in creating helpful tools (such as a resource guide) for Family Engagement Specialist to utilize in their work with families.
- Present a professional appearance and engage in behaviors that promote a positive, professional reputation.
- Specific responsibilities will be based on education and experience of the identified intern.
