Our growing Adult Day program is looking for an energetic, compassionate and caring individual to work with the participants in our program. The Program Assistant will be responsible for making a difference in the lives of our participants, by preparing and conducting person centered activities, as well as ensuring the safety of our participants.

The Program Assistant will be responsible for making a difference in the lives of our participants, by preparing and conducting person centered activities, as well as ensuring the safety of our participants.
Responsibilities
- Assists staff in the delivery of services to clients.
- Help motivate clients to assume their maximum level of independence when engaging in program and community activities.
- Guide client with maintenance level therapy/walking and exercise programs.
- Encourage clients to participate in social situations and peer interaction.
- Help with daily and program activities as assigned and/or needed. If appropriate, assist clients with toileting, personal care, transfers, ambulation and clothing management as assigned by supervisor.
- Feed clients as needed and participate in meal prep and clean up.
- Help to insure and maintain the cleanliness and safety of program areas, assist with laundry and dishes as needed.
- Attend staff meetings, conferences and family meetings as requested.
- Keep appropriate appearance, attitude and conduct.
- Maintain positive working relationship with inter/intra agency sources.
- Treating all clients with respect and maintaining client confidentiality.
- The job duties for Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) are as assigned.
- HS Diploma or GED
- Enjoy working with the older adult population and those that are living with dementia or other disabilities.
- At least 1 year of experience working with the senior population
Compensation: $20/hour
