Minimum Qualification:
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling from an accredited college or university.
- Must hold one of the following Michigan licenses:
- LLP (Limited Licensed Psychologist) or LP (Fully Licensed Psychologist)
- LMSW (Licensed Master Social Worker)
- LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor)
- Must meet qualifications of a Mental Health Professional (MHP) as defined by Michigan Medicaid (PIHP/CMHSP guidelines).
- CAADC (Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor) or enrollment in a CAADC development plan through MCBAP is required—or willingness to enroll within 3 months of hire.
- Minimum of one year of experience working in behavioral health.
Program Overview:
- Serve individuals in urgent behavioral health situations such as suicidal ideation, out-of-medication needs, or pre-crisis interventions
- Provide crisis intervention, de-escalation, short-term therapy, assessments, and referrals
- Collaborate with a team of clinical supervisors, peer support specialists, medical assistant, nurses and engagement coordinators
- Operate in a flexible environment, including virtual and on-site care as program develops
Clinic Hours & Schedule:
- Monday – Saturday, 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM
- Flexible scheduling: 3x11-hour or 4x10-hour shifts/week, some evenings/weekends required
Essential Functions:
- Conduct intake, triage, and risk assessments for urgent behavioral health cases
- Deliver short-term interventions for psychiatric, substance use, and co-occurring disorders
- Utilize standardized tools such as SAFE-T with CSSRS, PHQ-9, PTSD-5, AUDIT/AUDIT-C
- Collaborate with primary care, outpatient providers, and crisis services
- Develop crisis and relapse prevention plans with clients
- Educate clients, families, and support persons on disorders, recovery, and treatment options
- Participate in program development, team huddles, and ongoing training
