Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree from an accredited institution in Business, Health Care, Human Services, Public Administration or related field. (A combination of education and direct work experience may be considered to satisfy the qualifications for this position.)
- Have minimum of preferably three (3) years of proven successful sales/ community outreach/education experience (measurable results) within a comparable behavioral health, healthcare and or human social services organization setting (non-profit experience preferred).
- Veteran or work with the Veteran/Military population.
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including occasional nights and weekends (can include infrequent overnight travel).
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Under Director of Behavioral Health Adult Services, assists with development of formal Community Outreach and Plans for Veterans service lines within assigned Region (s) developing strategies and plans to maximize individuals served access to programs (includes referral source/community organization targets tiering).
- Directly leads community outreach/education programming, team training and program evaluation within assigned region(s).
- With Director of Behavioral Health Adult Services oversight, directly provides community outreach activities, presentations, and strategies for Easterseals MORC within assigned Region(s) for targeted Veteran service lines coordinating efforts with other ESM program staff engaged in community education and outreach activities within these communities. This includes, but is not limited to community outreach to physicians (pediatricians/family doctors), hospitals (ERs, social workers/continuing care managers), Veteran agencies, VA, VFW, schools (social workers, special ed. Teachers, school counselors) and other community human organizations (e.g. first responders/safety organizations, courts, law enforcement, shelters, etc.,).
- Identifies new and cultivates existing referral sources implementing organizational “partnering” development/maintenance strategies with major referring organizations. Works with these organizations to assure positive service access for individual in need of ESM programs, effective referral processes and a positive referral experience for all (building credibility and trust). Includes mail, telephone, virtual and in-person meetings (e.g., drop-bys when feasible, regular service check telephone calls, “lunch and learns”, etc.,) including preparing and conducting presentations regarding ESM and designated/assigned service lines.
