Minimum Qualifications:
- Possess a Master's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling
- Hold licensure as a Temporary Limited Licensed Psychologist (TLLP), Limited Licensed Master of Social Work (LLMSW), or Limited Licensed Professional Counselor (LLPC) from the State of Michigan.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience providing group and individual counseling preferred
- Must possess and maintain a valid Michigan driver's license and current auto insurance.
Essential Job Functions:
- Perform thorough assessments of functional ability related to behaviors of concern, emotional and social needs, the physical and social environment in which consumers work and reside, the relationships individuals have with their parents, staff, housemates, and family, as well as the individual's physiology.
- Provides analysis of vulnerabilities and any medication effects.
- Provide evaluation and facilitate psychological diagnosis.
- Provide information related to guardianship status and individuals ability to make decisions.
- Develops support plans (e.g., direct individual or group therapy, skill acquisition plans, staff support plans, preventative strategies, etc.) that facilitate a feeling of being valued, the establishment of meaningful personal relationships, the ability to make meaningful choices based on life experiences, and the acquisition of and the ability to practice new skills
- Provides individual, family, and group therapy.
