Essential Functions:
- Welcomes patients and visitors by greeting in person or over the phone.
- Schedules appointments and transportation. Prepares daily client update sheets and sends appointment reminders.
- Provide patients with support and guidance as needed.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date information in the patient’s EMR (Electronic Medical Record).
- Manages medical record requests.
- Processes payments, records and invoices to reconcile with finance.
- Maintains necessary documentation and facilitates communication with providers to request authorizations for third-party payers and prior authorizations for nursing homes. Provides clinic-related correspondence to third-party billing company.
- Maintains a safe and clean reception area.
Qualifications:
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 3 years related experience required. Experience working in physician’s office or customer-facing experience in the healthcare field preferred.
- Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including knowledge of Excel.
