General Job Responsibilities
- Provides nursing care to TBC participants including administering medications, performing first aid (cuts, scrapes and bruises, bee stings, dehydration and sunburn, etc.), injury and illness evaluation and management.
- Reviews participant charts and ensures that nursing care is done promptly.
- Evaluates participants’ conditions as needed and reports to Health Care Supervisor and the Director of Recreation or designee.
- Recognizes and responds calmly and effectively to participant emergencies by following TBC code procedures including completing required paperwork in a timely manner.
- Be a medical resource that would bridge the gap between basic medical knowledge and emergencies.
- Massachusetts Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse
- CPR and First Aid Certified
- 1 years working with individuals with disabilities (preferred)
