Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore is seeking a Coordinator to be a part of our Personal Attendant Services Program in New Castle County. The Personal Attendant Services Program empowers individuals with disabilities to hire and manage their own caregivers with support from Easterseals staff. We are looking for someone who is well-organized, has effective time management skills, and excellent customer service. Qualifications:
- Exhibit good organizational and administrative skills.
- Excellent customer service and experience with individuals with disabilities
- Able to manage multiple tasks and projects.
- Knowledge in writing casenotes
Job Duties:
- Enrolling, monitoring, and assisting program participants and their attendants.
- Support participants in recruiting and hiring their own attendants.
- Train the participant and attendant on the Electronic Visit Verification system.
- Assist participants with their attendant’s payroll issues and/or discrepancies.
- Meet with participant and attendant quarterly, annually, and as needed regarding program services and processes.
- Collaborate with Managed Care Organizations regarding participant services and support.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience with disabled and/or aging population
- Bachelor’s Degree or 3 years’ experience
- Bilingual ability in Spanish or other languages is a plus.
This is a full-time, 40-hour a week position Monday- Friday 8am-4pm. There is county-wide and some statewide travel associated with this position. Must have reliable transportation.
