Business Analyst

We are seeking a U.S. Veteran, National Guardsman, Reservist, or Military Spouse with strong, hands-on experience as a Business Analyst to support our client’s expanding MF Data & Reporting team. The team builds and manages the database for the client’s Multifamily department. The team hydrates data from various source systems into a secure, structured database and provides data to downstream consumers. In this role, the Business Analyst will join the Scrum team. The team operates as a Scrum team of 8–9 members, including a Product Owner, Tech Lead, Analysts, Developers, and Testers.

This position is ideal for a highly motivated individual with strong SQL and data analysis capabilities, the ability to translate business needs into technical specifications, and the communication skills to work seamlessly with developers, testers, analysts, and business partners within an Agile environment.

Pay

Up to $57.80/hr

Essential Duties and Accountabilities

• Gather and document functional business requirements.
• Conduct data analysis and translate business needs into technical specifications.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure accurate implementation.
• Perform user acceptance testing (UAT) post-development.
• Communicate effectively with business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Work efficiently within an Agile/Scrum environment.

Requirements

• Military-connected candidates strongly preferred (Veterans, Guard/Reserve, Military

Spouses).

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
• Strong SQL and data querying.
• Strong SQL and data query skills.
• Experience in building and managing databases.
• Ability to write clear technical specifications.
• Domain knowledge.
• Understanding of mortgage finance.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Fast learner and self-starter.
• Excellent communication skills (business and technical context).
• Team player with experience in Scrum methodology environments.

Preferred Experience

• Familiarity with data integration and ETL concepts or processes

Physical Demands

Standard office and onsite work environment; ability to work full-time onsite in Reston, VA.
