JOB DESCRIPTION
Easterseals Central and Southeast Ohio, Inc. hosts an after-school program in partnership with Franklin County Department of Jobs and Family Services and South Western City School District. We are looking to hire a talented assistant teacher who will actively assist school age students with arts and crafts, physical education, and social emotional learning activities.

Job Duties:

• Assist with daily activities such as artwork, music, free play/physical education.
• Help implement lesson plans and work individually with children.
• Supervise and assist the students to ensure their safety and comfort in outside play, classroom activities, bathroom needs, and any other duties as directed.
• Assist in operational activities such as daily materials preparation, correspondence to parents, meal services, attendance, etc.
• Assist with the routine cleaning of the program areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the School Age Programs Manager.
  

Education:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)

Qualifications:

• Experience working with children in a school age or summer camp setting preferred
• First Aid and CPR certification or eligibility to obtain required certifications
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds

Job Type: Part-time Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm
