What You’ll Do
As a Diesel Technician at Eastern Waste, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and repairing our truck fleet.
Responsibilities include:
- Troubleshoot diesel engines and perform electrical, hydraulic and mechanical repairs
- Analyze and diagnose mechanical issues
- Determine what parts and tools are required to make repairs
- Follow checklists and protocols when conducting repairs
- Performing preventative maintenance to ensure fleet reliability
- Input and maintain detailed records of maintenance and repairs
- Track parts inventory and order parts as needed
- Working independently with a strong sense of responsibility
- Support coworkers and be a good team player
What We’re Looking For
- Proven diesel mechanic experience
- Knowledge of hydraulics and mechanical systems
- Experience with various vehicle and engine types
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently
- CDL license preferred
- Welding experience is a plus
