What are the responsibilities and job description for the Returns Associate position at EASTERN WAREHOUSE DISTRIBUTORS LLC?
The Returns Associate will process product returns and work with warehouse personnel for all other needed responsibilities. High-volume, fast-paces working environment. The Returns Associate will answer questions, input accurate return information on customer accounts. Performs general warehouse duties including housekeeping and other duties as assigned by management.
- Unpack returned merchandise, inspect package condition and assess paperwork sent in with return instructions for proper return procedures
- Inspect returned merchandise, checking for quality and condition of product to determine return category
- Properly receive and stock material and pick warehouse inventory using electronic scanning equipment
- Accurately store, locate and pick warehouse inventory.
- Receive merchandise, following all return procedures for each product type
- Distribute returned items to their proper location
- Input customer accounts in computer systems, communicating return type to ensure accurate processing
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, at all times
- Other tasks as required to meet team goals
- Load and unload trailer
- Miscellaneous projects and perform other related duties as assigned

Physical Requirements:
The requirements listed below are representative of the physical abilities needed to perform the essential function of this position.
- Walking and standing for 6-10 hours per day
- Vision adequate for safe working in a warehouse environment.
- Hearing and vision adequate for working in a warehouse.
- Repetitive use of hands for writing and typing
- Frequent bending twisting, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, grasping
- Frequently lifting objects weighing 5 - 50 lbs.
- Must wear company issued back brace safety equipment at all times
- Ability to climb steps (up to 3 stair cases repetitively)
- Ability to be certified in warehouse equipment usage (Lift truck, hand truck, forklift, etc.)
