Job Description:

Cashiers are responsible for the accurate handling of payment transactions within a specific location.

Essential Functions and Requirements:

This job position will include but not be limited to the following:

• Accurately count and post payments against open COD invoices and receipt of payment for charge accounts
• Accurately identify the payment method is valid (i.e. customer is using their own credit card)
• Check in and process new, core, and defective returns from customers.
• Check in and receive payments from drivers and keep track using the cash log.
• Monitor the open COD list daily and communicate needed payments with the Manager.
• Maintain a clean workspace including vacuuming all common areas around counter and dispatch daily.
• Keep control of the locations gas cards- know rules regarding fueling and communicate with the Manager when help is needed.

Qualifications:

• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Ability to fully understand all job requirements.
• Previous experience handling cash is preferred.
• Must possess interpersonal skills, organizational skills, be a self-starter and have the ability to communicate clearly (verbal and written) with management.
• Ability to perform in an organized, timely and efficient manner.
