Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist students during virtual therapy sessions by providing in-person support and supervision.
- Remain free of substance abuse and/or illegal drug use at all times
- As needed for completion of duties, attend meetings outside of normal working hours
- Perform other tasks and assume other responsibilities as requested by therapist or administration within the scope of the position
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines
- Travel safely and efficiently within the EUP service area to job sites as directed
- Must be able to effectively communicate with staff, students, and parents
- Must be able to physically and visually monitor students across educational settings
- Must be able to physically assist students with adaptive equipment
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities as requested by administration
- Collaborate with the virtual therapist, administration, and staff on the development of an efficient therapy schedule.
- Assist in the preparation and organization of instructional materials needed to implement student program
- Document and report students' progress and any concerns to the virtual therapist and school administration.
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and the virtual therapist to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral intervention plans (BIPs).
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment for students.
- Monitor and support students' emotional and behavioral needs during sessions.
- Help set up and manage the technology required for virtual therapy sessions, including troubleshooting any technical issues.
- Ensure implementation of the established therapy schedule assuring students arrive at virtual therapy sessions in a timely manner.
- Facilitate communication between the virtual therapist and students, ensuring a smooth and effective session.
