Position Summary:
The Front Desk Coordinator is the first point of contact for patients, responsible for managing scheduling, patient accounts, and insurance verification. You will ensure smooth daily operations while supporting clinical staff and leadership. This role is critical for maintaining high patient satisfaction and efficient clinic workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients, answer phones, and manage incoming inquiries professionally.
- Schedule appointments for multiple disciplines (PT, OT, ST), including coordinating referrals and follow-ups.
- Verify insurance coverage and explain patient financial responsibilities.
- Track cancellations, no-shows, and reschedule patients as needed.
- Assist with patient account management, including co-pays, balances, and adjustments.
- Communicate professionally with patients, therapists, and clinic leadership.
- Support office processes and workflow improvements under the direction of clinic leadership.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of experience in a medical office, therapy clinic, or insurance-heavy outpatient setting.
- Strong understanding of insurance verification and patient accounts.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Clear, professional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and take initiative.
- Reliability and accountability are essential.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with EMR scheduling systems.
- Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and private insurance plans.
- Prior experience in pediatric or adult therapy clinics.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Hourly Pay: $19–$21/hr
- Performance Bonus: Bonus opportunities available, with the potential to earn $50–$300 per month based on performance metrics.
