Now Hiring: Loader Operator & Excavator Operator – Construction Pipe Crew
Eastern States Construction Services, Inc. (Eastern States) is a family-owned heavy/highway and site development contractor that’s been building the region’s infrastructure since 1953. We specialize in public sewer and water work, site development, and large-scale heavy/highway projects throughout Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey.
We are currently looking for an experienced Loader Operator and an experienced Excavator Operator to join our highly skilled Construction Pipe Crew.
What You’ll Do
Loader Operator
You’ll safely operate a front-end loader on busy heavy construction job sites—loading, unloading, moving, and transporting materials and supplies that keep the pipe crew moving. You'll play a key role in supporting trench work, utility installs, and general site operations.
Excavator Operator
You’ll be responsible for digging safe, clean, accurate trenches for water, sewer, and storm pipe installation. This includes deep trench work, working in tight digs, reading grades, communicating with the pipe crew, and keeping trench safety top of mind at all times.
For Both Positions
In addition to running your assigned equipment, you’ll also:
Perform daily inspections, fluid checks, and lubrication to keep equipment in proper working condition
Work closely with the pipe crew and jump in to assist when needed
Follow all safety protocols and maintain awareness on active job sites
What We’re Looking For
Solid experience operating heavy equipment in a heavy construction environment
Experience with deep trench utility work is a must for the Excavator Operator role
Strong work ethic and commitment to doing quality work
Dependable, safety-minded, and able to work as part of a tight-knit crew
Willing to support team members and help where needed
