Job Summary
Reports to the school principal and Director of Transportation & Maintenance. Keeps school buildings and grounds clean, orderly and free from hazards. Performs a variety of semi-skilled tasks necessary to maintain buildings, equipment and grounds. Drives a school bus for the purpose of transporting students in a safe, orderly manner to and from school and on special trips.
Requirements / Qualifications
Education and training equivalent to high school graduation. Work experience demonstrating dependability and responsibility. Desired experience performing custodial work, maintenance work and driving heavy vehicles. Possess and maintain a valid California Driver’s License. Complete training for and maintain a California School Bus Drivers certificate. Obtain and keep current a First Aid Certificate issued by the American Red Cross or equivalent certification by the California Highway Patrol. Testing for possible use of controlled substances. Applicants will be responsible for completing an application package through Edjoin (www.edjoin.org) to include an application, Letter of Introduction addressing the position qualifications and requirements, current resume, a copy of transcripts and two current letters of reference.
