Position Summary:
The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Eastern New Mexico University (ENMU) is seeking qualified candidates to fill the position of a full-time Instructor and Program Director of Aviation Science, beginning March 16, 2026. The position is open until filledwith review of applications beginning on or aboutJanuary 26, 2026. The appointment includes 75 percent of online teaching of Aviation Science courses and 25 percent reassigned time during each academic year to perform the administrative duties as Aviation Science Program Director. ENMU is New Mexico's largest regional comprehensive university with a four-year campus in Portales and two-year campuses in Roswell and Ruidoso. ENMU's Aviation Science program is fully online and offers Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Applied Arts and Science in Aviation Science.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Teach Aviation Science courses online
- Perform administrative duties for Aviation Science
- Implement Aviation Science program assessment
- Articulate transfer courses
- Advise, recruit, and retain students
- Provide service to the department, college, and university
- Regular and predictable attendance is required
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Master of Science in Aviation Science, Aeronautical Science, or a related field is required
- Teaching experience in web-based instruction and/or distance education is highly desirable

Physical Demand and Working Conditions:
- Work is sedentary in nature that at times requires exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
- Work during normal work hours and may include weekend and evening hours
- Work requires reaching, handling of objects with hands and/or fingers, talking, and/or hearing, and seeing
