- Position Overview
Asst Professor of Health & Physical Education (tenure track) for Eastern New Mexico University to work at our Portales, NM loc. Teach undergraduate & graduate courses in the Department of Agriculture/Food Science/Kinesiology focusing on Physical Education K-12 Educator courses, Sports & Recreation Management & Sports Administration. Develop & deliver courses, using traditional face-to-face & distance delivery models. Advise undergrad & grad students. Engage in scholarly & service activities. Supervise internships. Attend departmental & university meetings & external meetings as required. Attend & assist at recruitment activities sponsored by program, dept, college or university. Other duties as assigned. Little national travel may be involved to conferences, recruitment activities, scholarship/service needs (travel not to exceed 60 days/year & length of single trip no more than 5 days). Possible weekend hours for scholarship & service needs. May undergo background checks incl Ref Checks, Education Check. Work is sedentary in nature, with occasional lifting up to 10 pounds.

Must have PhD in Kinesiology, Health Education, or Physical Education, or closely related field.
