Principal Duties And Responsibilities
A Bachelor's degree is required.
Previous player experience in the assigned sport at the college level is necessary.
One year previous experience instructing and/or coaching in the assigned sport is necessary.
Knowledge of NCAA policies is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous recruitment, scheduling, training, and sports fund raising experience is desirable.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities
- Adhere to any and all NCAA, Mid-American Conference and Eastern Michigan University policies, rules, regulations, and operational procedures.
- Organize and direct all activities of a varsity sport.
- Counsel and advise student-athletes with academic or personal problems.
- Direct the recruitment of prospective high school student-athletes to Eastern Michigan University.
- Supervise assistant or graduate assistant coach, if applicable.
- Assist in the scheduling of athletic contests.
- Determine the amount and quality of equipment and supplies to be ordered.
- Monitor all expenditures associated with varsity team budget.
- Perform various community services and functions such as clinic and speaking engagements.
- Perform fundraising activities.
- Instruct varsity credit classes, as assigned by the Department.
- Perform related departmental duties as required.
