This position will assist in developing and implementing recruitment strategies, enhancing student engagement, and providing support services to current students.
Recruitment
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and executing recruitment plans for undergraduate and graduate programs within the CHHS.
- Represent the college at recruitment events.
- Develop and maintain relationships with high schools, community colleges, and other partner organizations.
- Create and distribute recruitment materials, such as brochures, flyers, and digital content.
- Track and analyze recruitment data to assess the effectiveness of recruitment efforts.
- Develop and implement retention strategies to enhance student success and persistence.
- Provide academic and personal support to current students through advising and mentoring.
- Coordinate student engagement activities, such as workshops, social events, and academic support programs.
- Track student progress and identify at-risk students for early intervention.
- Collect and analyze retention data to inform program improvement.
- Design, administer and monitor surveys
- Assist with HUB events and expense tracking
- Conduct comprehensive research on scholarships, grants, and financial aid opportunities specifically available to students pursuing health-related majors and minors, including both internal EMU resources and external funding options.
- Develop and maintain a detailed and organized repository of financial aid opportunities, ensuring that information is up-to-date, accessible, and categorized by relevant criteria such as eligibility, application deadlines, and funding amounts.
- Collaborate with the CHHS advising team and Marketing Specialist to regularly update students on newly discovered financial aid opportunities, creating materials or presentations as needed to assist students in navigating the application process.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite/Google Suite and other relevant software applications.
- Experience with student recruitment and retention preferred.
