General Summary
Eastern Michigan University’s Coordinated Program in Dietetics invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position. This is an eight-month appointment with optional summer employment contingent on departmental need.
Responsibilities
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the dietetics program, both on-campus and online;
Mentor student research and advise dietetics students;
Develop an active research program, pursue external funding, and publish scholarly work;
Engage in service activities within the Program, School, College, University, and broader community;
Contribute to interprofessional education and collaborate across disciplines;
Participate in program development and evaluation (e.g., curriculum design).
Minimum Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Doctoral degree (ABD considered) in nutrition or a closely-related field;
RD/RDN credential;
College-level teaching experience;
Evidence of a research agenda and the ability to maintain high-quality scholarly work;
Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
RD/RDN professional experience;
Food service and/or management experience;
Experience with an accredited supervised practice program;
Evidence of scholarly contributions to the profession or related field.
