Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role in Milford, CT for a Shipping and Receiving Manager. The role involves overseeing all aspects of shipping and receiving operations, including coordinating shipments, managing inventory, and ensuring the accurate receiving and dispatching of materials. Additional responsibilities include supervising staff, forklift and material handling training, maintaining inventory controls, among other responsibilities, while ensuring compliance with safety procedures and company policies.
Qualifications
- Strong Supervisory Skills to effectively manage and lead a team
- Proficiency in Shipping & Receiving and strong knowledge of Inventory Control processes
- Experience managing and organizing industrial years and material storage areas
- Excellent Communication skills for coordinating with team members, vendors, and customers
- Experience in Forklift Operation and adherence to workplace safety protocols
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with Tekla software is a plus
- Working knowledge of DOT load securement and load limitations
- OSHA 10/30 certification
- Material handling and rigging experience required
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications related to logistics or warehouse management are an advantage
