Position Start Date: Middle of October 2025
Responsibilities: This position is primarily responsible for administration of the CTE Concurrent Enrollment Program at Eastern Maine Community College (EMCC) and the administration of the Aspirations Program. The CTE Navigator position will provide the following services to secondary students enrolled in CTE concurrent enrollment courses: career exploration, academic advising, admission and enrollment support, and onboarding navigation. The CTE Navigator will continue to support students who earned concurrent enrollment credits through their first semester at the College, with a particular focus on students who are in academic jeopardy to ensure they are accessing the resources necessary to be successful. The CTE Navigator will administer the Aspirations program including facilitating and monitoring all dual enrollment activity to ensure compliance with Aspirations guidelines and coordinating billing with the Business Office. The CTE Navigator will work collaboratively with EMCC CTE faculty to develop partnerships and to develop and implement academic pathways and strategies to increase CTE enrollment, persistence, and graduation rates. The CTE Navigator will also advise EMCC CTE faculty in the selection and evaluation of appropriate secondary school courses and of qualified secondary school faculty and on the professional development and evaluation process of the high school faculty and of the program overall. The position will also advise non-CTE students as a part of the advising team.
Minimum Qualifications: Baccalaureate degree and 2-4 years of work experience in secondary education, higher education, or college access; or associate’s degree and 2-4 years of experience in higher education; knowledge of and experience in student advising and/or career readiness and job placement or working with young people required. Master’s Degree and 3 years work experience in education/teaching/school administration, career & technical education, or in college access preferred.
