What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lineworker position at Eastern Iowa REC?
Eastern Iowa Light and Power Cooperative has an immediate opening in our DEWITT location for an apprentice or journeyman lineman.
Responsibilities include but not limited to: performance of all skills and labor required in construction, operation and maintenance of Cooperative distribution lines; to have knowledge and responsibility of locating and eliminating any trouble which may develop on the lines of the Cooperative; to work on lines either dead or energized at voltages up to the maximum voltage of the system; to perform similar and less skilled work as required to the end that effective service is furnished to Cooperative members; and to carry an equitable share of the workload.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Must be high school graduate or equivalent. Graduate of a line school and able to successfully complete Eastern Iowa Light and Power Cooperative Apprentice Program, or has successfully completed a certified apprenticeship program. Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Drivers License. Must possess the necessary skills required to accomplish tasks assigned.
