EIHC is seeking a full-time and part-time Safety Coordinator dedicated to serving the needs of our community.

SCHEDULE

Monday through Friday, hours vary between 7:00 am to 7:30 pm

Compensation

$20.80-$34.32 hourly depending on experience

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff across all EIHC facilities by proactively identifying and addressing safety concerns, supporting security measures, and utilizing compassionate, trauma-informed de-escalation techniques that prioritize dignity, respect, and the well-being of all individuals.
• Greet patients and visitors. Assist with navigating between buildings and locations on campus when needed.
• Monitor the safety and security of interior and exterior areas, including regular patrols of buildings, entrances, exits, parking areas, and surrounding grounds. Address concerns related to individuals congregating on campus or obstructing access to facilities, including requesting that individuals leave when appropriate and contacting leadership or law enforcement for assistance as needed.
• Assist with general campus upkeep by picking up litter, addressing spills, and performing basic cleanup of common areas as needed, including cleaning up bodily fluids when facilities personnel are unavailable, in accordance with applicable safety protocols and training.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience in healthcare, customer service, safety, security preferred.
• Experience responding to challenging or escalated situations preferred.
