Extra Help Computer

Position Summary:

Eastern Illinois University is seeking experienced part-time Extra Help (temporary) Computer position. This position supports IT components of the Print Center Dashboard Implements suggested changes from staff and users into the Dashboard application Collaborate with the Business Affairs Operations and campus IT on needed technical support. Help troubleshoot any technical issues reported by staff and campus users. Create the Admin Dashboard layout and its components of the Print Center database Actively track the progress of any substantial upgrades or additions to the Dashboard Train staff on any new changes to the Print Center. Dashboard Update campus approval queues and product pricing as needed.

Salary: $20.00/hr.

In accordance with Eastern Illinois University policy (IGP #14.1), EIU is generally unable to sponsor or assume sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B, OPT, or other) for this Civil Service position.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
  
• Any one or any combination totaling one (1) year (12 months) from the following categories:
  • College coursework which includes Information Technology (IT), IT Management, Programming, IT systems, or a closely related discipline, as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:30 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months)
    
  • Associate’s Degree (60 semester hours) equals eighteen months (18 months)
    
  • 90 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months)
    
  • Bachelor’s Degree (120 semester hours) equals three (3) years (36 months)
• Work experience in IT-related functions such as hardware/software support, programming, network design, network engineering, IT systems integration, or closely related field.
