At Eastern Idaho Community Action Partnership (EICAP), we're looking for an Early Head Start Teacher at our Hoopes Center, Idaho Falls. We're looking for someone who enjoys being part of those early moments and wants to make a positive difference for children and families.
As an Early Head Start Teacher, you'll work with infants and toddlers (ages 0–3), helping create a classroom that feels safe, predictable, and engaging. If you have experience working with young children and are looking for a position where your work is meaningful and supported, this could be a great fit.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll partner with a co-teacher to build a welcoming, nurturing environment where children can learn and grow at their own pace.
- Create a calm, supportive classroom where children feel comfortable and cared for
- Plan and carry out simple, age-appropriate activities that encourage development
- Observe children's progress and adjust your approach as needed
- Build positive relationships with families and keep communication open
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom that meets licensing and safety standards
- Participate in team meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who brings both experience and a genuine interest in working with young children.
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience working with children ages 0–3 strongly preferred
- Comfortable working in a structured classroom setting with routines
- Ability to obtain a Child Development Associate (CDA) within 12 months (cost covered by EICAP)
- Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred
- Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification
Pay & Benefits
This is a full-time, hourly position with a strong benefits package and long-term stability.
- Starting wage: $18.16–$18.40/hour, depending on experience, with opportunities for growth
