Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Director of Maintenance to oversee all aspects of facility operations, safety systems, and preventive maintenance. This role is critical to ensuring a safe, compliant, and welcoming environment for residents, employees, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily maintenance operations of the facility, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building systems
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs
- Ensure compliance with all state, federal, OSHA, and life safety regulations
- Manage building inspections, repairs, and emergency response procedures
- Supervise and schedule maintenance staff and contractors
- Maintain safety equipment such as fire alarms, sprinkler systems, and generators
- Collaborate with leadership on capital improvement projects and budgeting
- Ensure timely completion of work orders and maintenance requests
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance logs, inspections, and certifications
- Proven experience in facility maintenance, preferably in healthcare, long-term care, or senior living
- Prior supervisory or management experience required
- Strong knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and general building systems
- Familiarity with Life Safety Code and healthcare regulatory standards
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to respond to on-call or emergency situations as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or degree preferred
