BHE GT&S has an exciting opportunity as a Customer Service Manager at our Headquarters located in Glen Allen, VA.
- Supervise and coordinate the transportation and storage nomination, confirmation, and scheduling processes across BHE GT&S' natural gas pipeline systems, ensuring full compliance with regulatory, tariff, Code of Conduct, and SOX requirements.
- Lead a team of schedulers, ensuring operational processes and timelines are consistently met while providing training and support to new and existing team members to promote ongoing development and efficiency.
- Serve as a hands-on manager focused on streamlining workflows, optimizing team performance, and implementing process improvements that support broader organizational goals.
- Provide leadership and direct support in addressing complex customer concerns or issues, analyzing root causes, and implementing both immediate and long-term corrective actions.
- Foster strong relationships with interconnecting parties and customers to encourage positive collaboration and support when resolving disputes.
- Educate internal and external stakeholders on business requirements, processes, and system functionality to enhance understanding and compliance.
- Act as a liaison between Transportation Services and cross-functional business areas, facilitating clear communication and adherence to company policies.
- Monitor transportation systems for performance and reliability, proactively addressing issues and managing complex business and tariff-related matters.
- Support the development, design, and implementation of internal systems and business strategies to align with evolving pipeline markets, driven by regulatory changes or business development initiatives.
- 8 years of related experience required.
- Significant directly related and progressive experience.
- Knowledge of transmission pipeline system, facility operations and tariff provisions.
- Knowledge of service agreements and FERC regulations and requirements.
- Ability to perform data analysis on personal computer.
- Ability to define problems, collect data and draw conclusions.
- Ability to communicate effectively, speak persuasively and negotiate solutions.
- Ability to communicate analytical conclusions through written and verbal reports.
- Ability to lead and direct staff; prefer supervisory experience.
- Ability to make decisions and manage crisis situations.
- Effective interpersonal skills with internal and external customers.
- Demonstrated strong customer service orientation.
Education: Bachelor (Typically four years of related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess a bachelor's degree.)
