Responsibilities:
The U.S. Attorney's Office is currently seeking to fill Assistant United States Attorney (AUSA) positions in the Criminal Division in our St. Louis Office. The Criminal Division is organized into four units: Violent Crime, Narcotics, White Collar, and National Security and Child Exploitation. As a member of the Criminal Division, an attorney is responsible for prosecuting a variety of violations and enforcing federal laws related firearms offenses, drug trafficking, public corruption, terrorism, white collar, organized crime, and crimes against children. Attorneys in the Criminal Division try a large number of cases, conduct proactive investigations using a wide range of investigative tools, and pursue matters involving undercover operations and confidential sources. Additionally, these attorneys research legal issues, draft motions or motion responses, and handle briefing and argument before the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals.Salary : $78,695
