The Role

The Residential Manager runs the day-to-day operation of one of our group homes and is accountable for the health, safety, and quality of life of the people who live there. You'll lead the direct support team, keep the home inspection-ready, and make sure each person's Individual Plan is carried out every day. You'll report to a Residential Coordinator and Director team that will assist you every step of the way.

What You'll Do

• Supervise, schedule, and coach Direct Support staff, including performance feedback, coaching, and progressive discipline.
• Build and manage staff schedules in ADP Workforce Now, controlling overtime and ensuring required staffing ratios. This will be done with your Residential team and HR.
• Oversee the implementation of Individual Plans, Behavior Support Plans, and medical/health protocols. This is done with our onsite Behavior Management Specialist and nursing team.
• Review and approve Therap documentation (T-logs, GERs, MARs) for accuracy and timelines. This is done with the help of our QA team.
• Maintain full compliance with CT DDS regulations and prepare for licensing inspections and Quality Service Reviews.
• Coordinate with families, guardians, case managers, clinicians, and day programs.
• Manage the home's budget, petty cash, and resident funds with accurate accountability.
• Ensure a safe, supportive and enriching environment through hands-on modeling of the required job responsibilities to ensure a quality level of care.
• Plan activities with staff and individuals to maintain an elevated level of participation and enrichment.

What You Bring

• 2 years of supervisory experience in residential services for people with intellectual disabilities or in a similar caregiving position
• CT Medication Administration Certification, or the understanding that it must be obtained within 90 days of hire
• PMT and CPR/First Aid Certification, or willingness to obtain
• Working knowledge of Therap; ADP experience a plus
• Strong judgement under pressure and the ability to hold staff accountable fairly and consistently

Position Details

• Full-Time
• Openings available in and around: Clinton and Old Lyme
• All of our residential locations have no more than three (3) individual's residing in them

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in a human services or residential support role
• Strong leadership or team-building skills
• Excellent communication skills, the ability to problem-solve, and work both independently and in a group setting
• Knowledge of DDS regulations or policies
• A person-centered mindset with a passion for out the box thinking
• Ability to develop and implement individualized service plans
• Experience working with ADP and/or Therap programs is a preferred
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must have a clean background check to include, federal/state criminal checks, driving record, and DDS Abuse & Neglect registry check
• The ability to use computer based systems efficiently
• Must be able to write clearly and professionally
• Must have a high school diploma or the equivalent
• CPR & First Aid certification is preferred but we will train if not already certified
• PMT certification is preferred but we will train if not already certified
• DDS Medication Administration Certification is preferred

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to bend, stoop, push, pull, reach, sit, and walk for periods of time
• Must be able to perform physical management techniques
• Must be able to lift 30lbs as needed
• Must be able to take a written or computer exam as needed
• Must be able to sprint as needed
• Must be able to remain awake and alert for the entirety of a scheduled shift
• Must be able to drive a company van with individuals present
