We are seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join our clinical team. This role works under the direct supervision of a physician or advanced practice provider and operates within established office policies and clinical procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Prep charts prior to patient visits and enter test results
- Assist patients in completing their health history
- Perform accurate measurement of vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, weight, and height
- Record all allergies, medications, and pertinent lab work in the EHR system
- Perform EKGs and apply Holter monitors as needed
- Room patients and prepare exam rooms with necessary supplies
- Manage incoming faxes, refill requests, and message queues within the EHR
- Clean, stock, and maintain exam rooms and clinical areas
- Ensure accurate documentation of all patient interactions, treatments, and procedures
- Support clinic flow by coordinating patient movement and minimizing delays
- Communicate with patients about medical concerns over the phone and document conversations according to office policy while maintaining confidentiality
- Schedule procedures by verifying times with patients and preparing charts, pre-admission forms, and consent forms
- Maintain a safe, secure, and compliant clinical environment by following all standards, protocols, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree required (any field)
- Current Medical Assistant certification required (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent nationally recognized credential)
- Minimum 2 years of Medical Assistant experience
- Proficiency with vital signs, EKGs, patient rooming, and general clinical workflows
- Prior experience using an electronic health record (EHR); specialty or cardiology experience preferred
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and clinical documentation standards
- Ability to support a fast-paced clinic and coordinate with multiple providers
- Clear, professional communication skills with patients, staff, and providers
- Demonstrated reliability, strong work ethic, and attention to detail
- Current CPR/BLS certification

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
