Membership Sales and Advertising
The Hockessin Athletic Club is seeking candidates for the part-time Membership Sales and Advertising position. The Membership Sales and Advertising position is responsible for signing new members and has the unique opportunity to sign advertising clients to the club’s digital advertising program. When not actively signing new members/clients, the Membership Sales and Advertising position helps members make changes to their accounts, helps members sign up for club services, and acts as an ambassador of the Hockessin Athletic Club ensuring that members have a great experience. The Membership Sales and Advertising position contributes to Hockessin Athletic Club’s success by promoting the club and company, introducing prospective members to the joys of fitness, and by maintaining a positive member experience for increased member retention.
Job Duties
- Engage in opportunities that positively impact the member experience.
- Adhere to all operational excellence standards related to providing a great member experience.
- Consistently look for opportunities to gain new members and elevate service levels.
- Develop and maintain relationships with current members
- Take ownership of member complaints and resolve issues promptly.
- Determine prospect’s goals and motivation, be knowledgeable of all products, programs and services and ensure prospects understand the value of HAC’s role in helping them reach their fitness goals.
- Reach and surpass monthly sales projections.
- Perform all basic transactions including billing change, freeze, membership changes, terminations.
- Attend sales and training meetings as necessary.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and database software.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- At least 1 year experience in a sales role
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience working in the fitness industry is preferred.
The Membership and Advertising Advisor reports directly to the Membership Director.
