Eastern Area Agency on Aging is seeking a dynamic and compassionate Program Coordinator to join our team and lead our Home Delivered Meals & Community Café programs in Penobscot and Hancock County. This full-time, 40-hour-per-week position offers a fulfilling opportunity to serve older adults throughout the region.
As the Program Coordinator, you will:
- Help determine program eligibility and connect clients to essential services.
- Maintain accurate electronic records and conduct client assessments.
- Coordinate meal deliveries and design efficient delivery routes.
- Supervise and inspire volunteers who share your commitment to community service.
This position will be based in Brewer at the Durgin Center with 1-2 days per week in our Ellsworth access center and occasional travel to complete home assessments and meal delivery.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and computer skills are essential.
- Knowledge of programs and services for older adults is a plus.
- Previous experience working with or supervising volunteers is preferred.
- The role involves bending, stooping, and lifting up to 20 lbs.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, proof of vehicle insurance, and ability to travel for job-related requirements.
