About the Role
Are you a dependable driver who thrives in fast-paced situations? Our Rescue Team is an elite, on-call response unit designed to step in when standard delivery routes hit an unexpected bump in the road.
When active delivery drivers encounter emergencies—such as vehicle breakdowns, flat tires, accidents, or abandoned routes—our Rescue Team members swoop in, take over the remaining packages, and make sure the route gets finished on time.
Because this position requires quick turnarounds and high reliability, Rescue Team members earn a premium rate on top of our standard delivery pay for every route they complete.
Key Responsibilities
- Rapid Response: Remain available on an on-call basis to respond quickly when a rescue request is dispatched.
- Route Takeover: Meet distressed drivers on their routes, safely transfer remaining packages into your vehicle, and complete the delivery run.
- Property & Package Care: Handle all package scans, route tracking, and package deliveries according to standard safety and protocol guidelines.
- Communication: Maintain clear, prompt communication with dispatch regarding arrival times and delivery updates.
Schedule & Hours
- On-Call Availability: Hours vary based on daily demand and unexpected route emergencies.
- Flexibility is key—you will be called in as issues arise throughout the shift window.
Requirements
- Personal Vehicle Required: Must have your own vehicle with valid insurance and registration.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Smartphone with an active data plan for navigation and delivery tracking apps.
- Strong problem-solving skills, punctual habits, and a self-motivated mindset.
- Ability to lift, load, and move packages efficiently.
