Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) Specialist / Speech Language Pathologist
Per Diem Variable Hours / Springfield Region
Pay Range: $50/hr - $55/hr
Easterseals Massachusetts is seeking a Per Diem AAC Specialist to join our Assistive Technology team. In this role, you will provide evaluation, consultation, training, and technical support services related to augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) for individuals of all ages and abilities. You will work in the community to ensure clients have access to effective communication tools tailored to their needs.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive AAC evaluations and device trials
- Develop and implement individualized communication plans with measurable goals
- Provide training and education to clients, families, and caregivers on AAC strategies
- Install and configure recommended AAC equipment
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with regulatory and agency standards
- Utilize tools such as Salesforce, Microsoft Teams, and Outlook to manage caseloads and communication
- Submit billing and paperwork promptly and accurately
What We’re Looking For:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Valid/current professional license as a Speech Language Pathologist in Massachusetts
- 1–2 years of experience in AAC
- Experience with both children and adults; familiarity with intellectual and developmental disabilities is a plus
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Professional, collaborative, and flexible approach
Physical Requirements:
- Must be willing and able to travel to/between various work locations including private homes
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
