What are the responsibilities and job description for the Classroom Assistant III position at Easter Seals and Careers?
Easterseals Western and Central Pennsylvania is a non-profit organization looking to hire a dynamic Level III or Level II Classroom Assistant to work with special needs children ages 3-8 years old at our West Mifflin, PA location.
POSITION-Classroom Assistant III or II
Classroom Assistant III
- Bachelor's Degree (Required)
- PA Professional Teaching Certificate in Special Education, Elementary Education, and/or Early Childhood Education (Required)
- Special Education Experience: 1 Year (Preferred)
Classroom Assistant II
- Associate Degree (Required)
- Special Education Experience: 1 Year (Preferred)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Classroom Assistant
- Planning and implementing activities to enhance students' skills.
- Assisting in implementing the student's IEP.
- Providing a safe and accepting classroom.
- Providing 1:1 instruction as needed.
- Assisting in the instructional program, integration program, and behavior management of students
BENEFITS
- Work hours are Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, 6-hour days. Working only 30 hours per week, with a typical school calendar of 9.5 months per year! The hourly rate ranges from $20 to $23. We do offer the option to earn extra income with summer employment as well.
