What are the responsibilities and job description for the Job Coordinator position at Eastconn?
EASTCONN's Northeast Regional Program (NRP) located in Danielson, CT. is recruiting for a Job Coordinator (Job Coach/Driver). In this role you will work directly with students who receive special education, to support career development and community involvement. Job coaches will be asked to identify job placements for students with a variety of needs, create schedules, transport/accompany students to and from job placements, provide coaching, and communicate regularly with local employers and the NRP school teams.
Requirements:
-High school diploma or equivalent
-Ability to obtain an STV license to transport students (a process in which is facilitated by EASTCONN)
-Experience working with students with social, emotional and behavioral needs
-Strong communication and organizational skills
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Within six (6) months of appointment, must successfully complete PMT – Physical
Management Techniques training and recertification annually. Training is provided by
EASTCONN at no cost to you.
Within one (1) year of appointment, must complete and maintain certification for First Aid and CPR training.
