What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodian position at Eastconn?
EASTCONN is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented part-time Custodian to maintain the cleanliness and safety of our Hampton Admnistrative Offices. This position is scheduled for 4 hours per day, Monday through Friday, for a 12-month period. The ideal candidate will take pride in ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for staff, visitors, and guests.
Responsibilities

Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors and surfaces. Duties may include outdoor winter work.

Clean and sanitize restrooms, restock supplies, and ensure proper hygiene standards.

Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly.

Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces.

Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to supervisors promptly.

Assist with minor maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs or replacing air filters, as needed.

Ensure all cleaning equipment and supplies are used and stored properly.
Qualifications

Previous custodial or cleaning experience preferred but not required.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.

Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting up to 25 pounds, standing, and bending for extended periods.

Reliable, punctual, and able to adhere to a consistent schedule.

Must pass a background check.
