What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industry Partnership Coordinator position at East Valley Institute of Technology?
Applications are being accepted for the position of Industry Partner Coordinator for East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT). Business hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., though instructional programs may run as early as 7:00 a.m. and as late as 9:30 p.m. Flexibility is required, including occasional evening or weekend hours to fulfill job-related responsibilities.
Position Summary: The Industry Partnership Coordinator plays a vital role in expanding and strengthening the East Valley Institute of Technology's (EVIT) Registered Apprenticeship Program. This position is responsible for establishing and maintaining strategic relationships with local and regional employers across a variety of industry sectors. The coordinator will proactively identify new partnership opportunities, promote the value of apprenticeship pathways, and serves as the primary liaison between EVIT, employer partners, and other key apprenticeship stakeholders.
Job Type: Full Time- Exempt. Grant Funded
Salary: $62,632.00 - $77,626.00 Placement in the range will be based on a combination of education, industry related experience, and certification.

EVIT offers 50 career technical education programs, as well as Associate degrees in Nursing and Surgical Technology. EVIT prepares students for state and national licensing, industry certifications, internships, and the opportunity to earn college credit. EVIT programs are tuition-free for high school students who live within the following school districts: Apache Junction, Cave Creek, Chandler, Fountain Hills, Gilbert, Higley, J.O. Education And Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business, education, workforce development, or a closely related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a skilled trade field such as electrical, HVAC, plumbing, welding, or a related industry may be substituted for the degree requirement.
- Experience in employer engagement, business development, workforce programming, career services, apprenticeship administration, or skilled trades industries.
- Experience with registered apprenticeship programs or work-based learning initiatives, or skilled trades workforce development programs is preferred.
- Familiarity with the Arizona labor market, regional workforce needs, and economic development initiatives is preferred.
- Understanding of Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs, apprenticeship pathways, and public education systems is preferred.
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be considered.
- Level 1 IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Possess a valid driver's license, good driving record and auto insurance.
- Proof of immunization against or immunity to measles and rubella if born after January 1, 1957.
