Adult Education Aesthetic Instructor

The East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT) is a public Career and Technical Education District (CTED) providing tuition-free career and technical education (CTE) programs to high school students – public, charter, and home-schooled – and tuition-based programs to adults who reside in 11 school districts in the East Valley of the Phoenix metropolitan area.

EVIT offers over 40 CTE programs at four centralized campuses. Centralized campus programs provide two to four hours of hands-on training every day and prepare students for professional certification and licensing exams. EVIT students who complete their training have a 98 percent high school graduation rate and 90 percent on average are in jobs related to their training, college or the military within a year. Two out of three EVIT students go on to college.

Applications are being accepted for the position of Adult Education Aesthetic Instructor with the East Valley Institute of Technology. The starting date is approximately July 6, 2022. The beginning salary range for this position is approximately $44,636 - $72,650 dependent upon education and like experience. This is a full-time, 10 month position. Hours are: Monday - Thursday, 11:00am - 9:00pm.


Job Summary:
Under general supervision the Aesthetics Instructor will perform a variety of routine duties, as needed, to teach aesthetics, to students from different backgrounds, ethnicity, nationalities, gender, ages, religions, or disabilities in the classroom and in the lab, using a variety of teaching methods such as lectures and demonstrations and using audiovisual and technological aids to supplement the presentations.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years of verified experience as an Aesthetician
• A valid AZ Board of Cosmetology/Aesthetics Instructor License
• Valid Arizona Department of Public Safety Identity Prints (IVP) fingerprint card.
• Proof of immunization against or immunity to measles and rubella if born after January 1, 1957.
