Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Powersports Shop Foreman to lead our service department in delivering exceptional repair and maintenance services for a wide range of powersports vehicles, including motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), and other recreational engines. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily shop operations, supervise technicians, ensure quality standards are met, and foster a customer-focused environment. Your expertise will drive efficiency, safety, and technical excellence across all service activities, ensuring our customers receive top-tier support for their powersports needs.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the service team to ensure timely and accurate repairs of powersports vehicles, including engine system repairs, suspension work, brake repairs, electrical diagnostics, welding, soldering, and assembly.
- Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and automotive diagnostics techniques.
- Oversee the proper use of hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment to maintain safety standards.
- Manage workflow by prioritizing repairs, assigning tasks to technicians, and ensuring adherence to quality control procedures.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed, parts used, and diagnostic findings for each vehicle serviced.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair status clearly and offering technical advice on vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment for all team members.
Requirements
- Proven dealership experience with a strong background in powersports or automotive repair.
- Extensive service technician experience with expertise in automotive engine system repair, electrical diagnostics, suspension systems, brake repair, welding, soldering, and vehicle assembly.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools for automotive diagnostics and electrical troubleshooting.
- Mechanical knowledge of motorcycle operation and all-terrain vehicle repair is essential.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy lifting techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Experience with basic vehicle troubleshooting and performing mechanical systems repair on powersports engines.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver’s license with motorcycle operation experience preferred.
