Position Summary:
The Emergency Response Advocate provides immediate crisis intervention, advocacy, and support services to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and related emergencies. This role responds to crisis calls, hospital accompaniments, and emergency shelter intakes to ensure survivors receive compassionate, trauma-informed care. The Emergency Response Advocate offers emotional support, safety planning, and resource referrals, while empowering survivors to make informed decisions.
Minimum Requirements:
Associates degree, bachelor’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or other related studies, or equivalent experience working with families in crisis, survivors of violent crime, families experiencing poverty, or child victims of crime.
Knowledge of community resources including legal, medical, housing, and victim advocacy services.
Job Type: PRN - All shifts available
Salary: $16-$19 an hour
Work Locations: Office located in Tyler.
