What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Coordinator position at EAST SIDE NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICE?
Is responsible for, but not limited to the following functions:
- Plan HRMFS food menus a week in advance and order supplies from regional food banks and local wholesale vendors to meet weekly delivery cycle needs.
- Collaborate with HRMFS Program Manager in planning the product menu for HRMFS distributions and communicate all issues regarding product supply or quality.
- Build a delivery menu that coincides with contract guidelines and is receptive to the cultural food needs of our diverse program participants
- Work together with drivers and warehouse support staff to ensure that orders are picked and loaded accurately
- Schedule daily driving routes for Lead Driver and Driver Assist
- Drive 20’ dock truck to pick up donations or make deliveries in relief of regular drivers
- Manage storage areas (freezer, cooler, warehouse)
- Manage inventory records and complete regular physical counts.
- Ensure warehouse space meets compliance requirements of food shelf license and food bank partners
- Help maintain cleanliness of warehouse and set schedule for regular cleaning of cooler, freezer and dry storage areas
- Receive donated and purchased products accurately and ensure incoming products are evaluated and recorded.
- Communicate with HRMFS building partners regarding delivery schedules and weekly procurement
- Compile administrative documents necessary for each HRMFS delivery
- Work with HRMFS Program Manager to update participant information in service tracking software
- Work with food shelf team leads and Director of Food Programs to receive and allocate products across all food programs
- Collaborate with Director of Food Programs, HRMFS Program Manager and other staff members to formulate and implement policies, procedures, goals and objectives.
- Participate in agency wide committees and events
- Show flexibility in accepting new duties as assigned
Education / Certificates:
- High School Diploma or GED – Required
- Valid MN Class D License - Required
- Possess valid DOT health card or the ability to obtain one
- Possess food protection manager certificate or the ability to obtain one
Experience:
- Driving dock truck 26,000 GVWR or less – preferred
- Warehouse or food shelf experience preferred
- Experience using electric pallet jacks and stacker or ability to complete training
Other Qualifications:
- Must speak and read English fluently, additional language (Somali, Oromo, Spanish) helpful but not required.
- Works across ethnic/racial/economic lines for effective communication and rapport.
- Ability to complete appropriate trainings such as Civil Rights and food safety trainings
- Works in a collaborative and coordinated effort.
- Communicates effectively in oral and written forms.
- Self-starts and effectively problem solves.
- Handles confidential information appropriately.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds occasionally and 30-40 pounds frequently and have no physical restrictions precluding heavy lifting and bending.
- Computer competency - Experienced in using Excel, Word, Outlook computer software programs.
- Pass a Criminal Background Check, if hired – Required
