The East Rochester School District is seeking a dedicated Elementary Special Education Teacher for a full-time, tenure-track position. Elementary Special Education Consultant Teacher:
Plan and provide instruction for students with learning, behavioral, emotional, and/or developmental disabilities in accordance with NYS mandates and standards.
Develop, implement, and evaluate Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to meet student needs.
Develop, implement, and evaluate lesson plans that utilize best practices and align with NYS Learning Standards.
Develop, implement, and evaluate alternative behavior management plans.
Work in a multidisciplinary team to foster collaborative planning and an interdisciplinary approach to learning.
Effectively communicate with school staff, parents, districts, and community agencies.
Manage and support the classroom team.
Participate in ongoing training.

Job Qualifications
NYS Students with Disabilities Certification Grades B-2, 1–6, NYS Literacy Certification Preferred
Knowledge and experience in implementing NYS standards, Core Curriculum, and NYS Alternative Assessment.
Proven leadership with classroom team management preferred.
